ACTIVATED CARBON

Activated Carbon (Powder Activated Carbon) is a porous form of carbon which is manufactured from various carbonaceous raw materials like coconut shells, coal, pine-wood, peat, rice husk, saw dust, lignite, etc.

It is prepared through carbonisation and activation of organic substances. During carbonisation, most of the non-carbon elements, hydrogen, oxygen are removed in Gaseous form & it develops internal pores. Thereafter, it is activated through chemical activation or steam activation.

In the activation process, the numbers and dimensions of the pores are increased and hence, it has a large internal surface area. Due to the well-developed pore structure and large internal surface area, Activated Carbon has an excellent adsorbent capacity.

Our Activated Carbon is used by various plating industries all over India. It removes dissolved organic impurities from bath, rack and other types of plating tanks.
